Learning Objectives 

The learners will learn literacy skills within the larger theme of Getting around the Neighbourhood/Signs. Since LINC’s objectives are both language training and settlement, this project will allow learners to explore outside of the school while learning linguistic literacy goals. CLB 1 literacy learners have needs which are different from other adult ESL learner groups. As such, text must accompany visual and experiential support in order to learn vocabulary. Linguistic objectives include reading English found on signs, copying and writing words found on signs and understanding visual images and text.
